When was the last time you thought?
I’m not talking about dwelling, regretting, wishing, or worrying. I’m talking about honest to goodness, calorie burning, serious thinking. Not scenario planning and what-iffing, not endless rumination. Critical, logical thinking.
Not meditation and mindfulness. Yes, it’s good to practice both and live in the moment. But you’re not doing that right now either.
Try some active sitting. You’ve got the whole, “let the world wash over you” down pat. Now, steer the ship. Pick the direction you want to go and THINK about how you’re going to get there.
Will you travel alone or with others? Is this a secret or do you need to broadcast your plans for greater support? Do you have the right provisions and skills, or do you need to learn or hire along the way? Is your attitude in check, your appearance appropriate to the task, and your approach aligned with your purpose? Are you acting on purpose, or by habit?
There’s something important to you. You know what it is because it just fluttered across your mind. Capture it and give it some thought.
Thought is the nourishment your ideas need to grow. Start feeding them.
